Does this sound familiar?

You’re great at what you do.  When you work with clients 1-1, you bring the goods! But the writing’s on the wall, you’re stuck at this level if you don’t shift your business model to be able to reach more clients with less time.

You know you want to create group programs and courses. You know you need more scalable systems and infrastructure to do it.

But… it feels like an entire rebuild of your business. Oh, and BTW, you have NO time to do it either. and spending hours researching, deciding & learning new systems isn’t your idea of a hot Saturday night.

You’re feeling stuck…

I’ve been there as a small business owner in the past. It goes a little something like this…

“I want to grow my business, but I need time to do it. My time is all spoken for.  To free up my time, I need to make changes to the way I’m running things.  But in order to free up my time I need time to change the way I’m running things. Help I’m stuck!”

Yep, I’ve been on that hamster wheel before and I know how it feels.

There are different ways to approach this dilemma, all equally valid.  It’s like untangling a ball of yarn.  Just pick the place to start that feels right to you.

approach #1 Stop the bleeding

If you already KNOW where you’re losing time – for example, onboarding clients or manual entry on your CRM – focus on solving that ONE obvious problem to free up more of your time. Maybe this is as simple as building a few automations or using a tool like Honeybook to speed up your onboarding.

approach #2 Do a time audit

Not sure where all your time is disappearing to? Try doing a time audit for two weeks to see where you might be able to make changes.  If you like, use a tool like Toggl or you can just go old school and use pen and paper.  The idea is just to get insight into what’s sucking up your time.

approach #3 Cut something out

This is for you decisive gals, you know who you are! Clarify. Simplify. Cut. This is a full-on strategic re-alignment. What aspect of your biz offers the least ROI? What’ s a distraction? What’s your heart no longer in? What are you no longer available for? Make a big shift and free up your time for a new focus.

approach #4 Do a strategy session with a pro to accelerate your plans

If you’re so stuck in the weeds you can’t see clearly, it can help to have a guided strategy session to see what to change first or map out a plan faster than if you did it on your own.  Making that leap will give you the momentum and the encouragement to dive in and make the change.
